Atlanta Charles Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Alexandria Old Town 4* for 4/28/20131st bid $65 Old Town2nd bid $70 Old Town + Mt. Vernon3rd bid $80 Old Town + Mt. Vernon + National Harborno win yetAdvice? Am I too far out from my stay?
AaronJB Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 This is essentially "last minute" as hotels go. I think you're likely not far away from a win in Alexandria - there's a 4* on HOTWIRE for $96 for these date/s.On PRICELINE, are you okay with staying in National Harbor? 4* is able to be selected in that zone, so you may get a hotel if you select that zone and 4* - it's not a re-bid zone. Explanation of re-bidding: Priceline Re-bidding thread. Please let us know if you have any questions before bidding.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Atlanta Charles Posted April 18, 2013 Author Report Posted April 18, 2013 Thank you very much for your tip. I'll try and post result.

Atlanta Charles Posted April 19, 2013 Author Report Posted April 19, 2013 Ya know, it's really difficult to argue against a reasonable idea. Great advice. I took it. $96 through Hotwire, which turned out to be Hotel Monaco. I'm happy with that. Thanks again!

AaronJB Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 If you could provide the amenities showing with the listing that were showing on the main page (such as boutique, restaurant, etc) that would be greatly appreciated - that information should be available under the trip information in your HOTWIRE account. Thanks.I think this is really a terrific deal for this Kimpton boutique, and the free wine social hour at night is a plus.
