LoneStar Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 I didn't spend a lot of time at this property, but my room was more than satisfactory for the $50 I spent. Red Lion took over this property a few years ago and seems to have spent a lot of money renovating the lobby (looks sharp for a motel!) and the rooms, which have very comfy pillowtop beds and nice linens. You might want to mapquest the hotel if you're driving because it's in an office park neighborhood which requires a couple of obscure turns from the 101 freeway.Another tip is I ate at a nearby Joeys Only Seafood (which appears to be a smallish chain) using a half-off coupon I bought for $1.50 on Restaurant.com (go to the SPAM page on flyertalk.com for the discount codes). The food was by no means gourmet, but it was decent basic seafood (try the clam chowder) at astonishingly low prices. Unless you boozed it up, it would be near impossible at half off to spend $20 on dinner for two!
