Hi all,

I have been constantly looking for hotels in the following area.

Travelling Date: 4/26-4/30/2013

Areas:

1) Civic Center South - Hayes Valley

2) Financial District - Embarcadero

3) Fisherman's Wharf – detail map

4) Japan Town - Civic Center North

5) USE

6) USW

7) SOMA

I have bid upto $110.00 still no luck. I have booked hotel Halycon as a backup in case if I dont get anything.

I am rebid upto several times with not luck. I have started my bidding from 80 and went upto even 110 but not luck. I am not looking to spend more than 120. It would be great if you guys could shed some light whether it is even possible to get a hotel within the range of $110.00

Please advise.

Thanks

In the menu bar above is "Tools". Within that is an amazing product called MAPS and HOTELS.com. If you input your dates and San Francisco, you can get a see retail rates from Priceline and hotels.com. You can sort and zoom and use different center points (addresses, city names or even things like "Fisherman's Wharf") and different mileage radii.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

If you haven't yet please read your messages and keep all posts for this same stay in this same thread.

Please post only the amenity names (and not the descriptions) as you can see how much easier it is to read and helps minimize the chance that we'll miss an amenity when researching your trip.

This does match previous reports for the Whitcomb so that would be my best guess for this one.

What is your maximum bid for this trip? Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?

Even when SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID $110 may not be enough, but why not try your previous bidding strategy for:

4/26-4/30

4/26-4/29

4/27-4/30

4/26-4/28

4/28-4/30

Hi there,

I tried splitting the dates from 4/26-4/29. Still no luck. I decided to downgrade a star to 2.5 and have been bidding upto $90 still no luck. I have seen that in other thread there is member who had issues with the booking and the administrator suggested to use priceline bonus money. I clicked on the link but was not able to understand how the bonus money works.

I would be happy if you could please tell me how this works.

So far my biddings are

Dates : 4/29-4/30

Rating: 3.5*

Zones

1/2/3/4/9/11/12 - $100

1/2/3/4/9/11/12 - $110

1/2/3/4/9/11/12 - $115

Dates : 4/29-4/30

Rating: 3*

Zones

1/2/3/4/9/11/12 - $100

1/2/3/4/9/11/12 - $110

1/2/3/4/9/11/12 - $115

Even my 2.5* star rating for $90 was not sucessful

Dates : 4/29-4/30

Rating: 2*

Zones

1/2/3/4/9/11/12 - $90

1/2/3/4/9/11/12 - $95

1/2/3/4/9/11/12 - $100

Please help.

Thanks

I'm just a member, not an administrator, but I'll take a stab at your question. When you click on one of those bonus money links, it should take you to a screen saying something like "you've got bonus money". It asks you to enter your email address on that screen which finishes the job.

Some of the bonus money links may have expired. You have to find one still active.

When you've successfully gotten through to a PL message saying something like "$50 bonus money added to your account" then you've got it right.

Now, in order for this site to get credit for your transaction, you want to circle back and click through from here - the box up up the right hand corner that lets you enter your city and dates is a good way to do it.

But don't just start bidding. On Priceline, sign in and find "My Rewards". You should see your bonus cash there. Click on that and then just follow on through with your bidding. There are restrictions on the bonus money. I think it was 3*s or above and at least 3 nights, but you can read that in the detail.
