lwasiu Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 Hi everyone,I am traveling to NYC on 5/20 - 5/23 looking for a 4* (or at least 3.5*). I am looking at Midtown East and Central Park SouthI started at 150, 160 and 170 with no luck. Am I bidding too early? Is there a rule where hotels will know more of their availability closer to the date, so it will be cheaper closer to the travel date? Thanks everyone!lawsiu
Romelle Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 Definitely not too early. There is a good discussion about bid timing in the PRICELINE FAQ above. Also, no rules as to when prices might drop or rise. Romelle
AaronJB Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 This is a busy period in NYC - nicer weather, baseball, possibly graduations and other events. It's not too early to bid, and waiting until the last minute definitely does not always work, especially during traditionally busy periods.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
