olyflyer Posted April 13, 2013 Report Share Posted April 13, 2013 I was looking for a five-star hotel in the Mayfair Piccadilly Circus Soho or Chelsea-Knightsbridge areas, and I was trying to avoid the Le Meridien Piccadilly.Retail rates on this hotel are $450+ US/ night - vs. the $221 incl all taxes rate from Priceline so quite happy! Hotwire showed 5-stars in both zones in the low $200-s which with all the taxes were still $750 total for 3 nights - so around $100 saving by using Priceline.The process to win this hotel took several weeks worth of rebids before this hit - overall patience pays off.
