thereuare Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 The Courtyard Embassy Row, Courtyard D.C./Foggy Bottom and Hilton Garden Inn US Capitol all seem to fit and would be likely candidates, but there could be others as well.Since this an extended stay you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. cdc3030 Posted April 12, 2013 Author Report Posted April 12, 2013 Thanks,I did as suggested, booked the first night, then booked the rest. All my research showed there were no bad 3* choices with pools in the area...so no harm.We got the Courtyard By Marriott Washington, D.C./Foggy Bottom White House - Downtown515 20Th Street Nw, Washington, DC 20052Brand new hotel. opened Feb 2013. Perfect location, great for us. And super cheap! $104 first night, $108 rest of stay. Thanks! clicked through the PRICELINE link, of course. :)
