Still trying to figure out this express deal thing. This seems like a really good deal....I am not sure if I can get stuck with a stinker from this or not. The hotel list for the bidable hotels look fine....but I dont get the express deals. They say it gets an 8.0

Can you help me id this?

The Courtyard Embassy Row, Courtyard D.C./Foggy Bottom and Hilton Garden Inn US Capitol all seem to fit and would be likely candidates, but there could be others as well.

Since this an extended stay you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay.

I did as suggested, booked the first night, then booked the rest. All my research showed there were no bad 3* choices with pools in the area...so no harm.

Brand new hotel. opened Feb 2013. Perfect location, great for us. And super cheap! $104 first night, $108 rest of stay.

Yep, happy. We needed a pool, that's why we went with this. Travelling with kid....always need a pool. :)
