Priceline Hotel: Hershey PA - region question

Hi all -

When I select "hershey PA" as a region, I get warning text which says "Please note: Hershey, Pennsylvania is located within the Harrisburg - York, PA region and may or may not be in one of the areas listed below."

What the heck does that mean? I don't want to stay in York (a bit far from Hershey), and I don't understand what this warning means. Any ideas?

I'll add, if 3* will boot me to harrisburg, I could go to a lower level and stay in Hershey.... but I just don't understand why it'd let me pick Hershey and potentially put me in another region (if that's what the note means)

Harrisburg, PA is the whole bidding region, as per the PL map. It has eight zones.

Hershey is one of the zones within the bidding region. As long as you just bid the Hershey zone, you'll get Hershey.

PS - Not to confuse things, but if you bid Hershey at the 3* level there are three other "free re-bid" zones you can use in order to get added bids in one session.

If you aren't familiar with free re-bidding, post back for more discussion of it. If you use the technique, you'll still just get a Hershey hotel.

Just to further clarify:

REGION:

Harrisburg - York, PA

ZONES: (within the region)

Carlisle East

Carlisle West

Grantville

Harrisburg

Harrisburg East

Harrisburg West

Hershey

York

The hotel you receive can be anywhere within the individual zones that you select.

It may be easier to understand with a different location...

New York City is the region... which is made up of zones (Midtown East, Midtown West, Times Square, etc, etc)

Hope that makes sense and further clarifies the situation.
