bcck
Used betterbidding's PRICELINE link to make the bid. Last night, we tried to get 4-star hotels in Tech Center North or Tech Center South. Started bids from $50 to $110 with $5 increments by keep adding the filter zones. No success. Changed the star level to 3.5 today. Started bid at $60 with just the Tech Center North zone. Bid accepted at $65 after adding in the Tech Center South zone. After taxes and fees, the average cost per night for us would be $76.28. Hotwire asks for roughly $75 per night *pre-tax* for 3-star hotels in these zones in July. On Marriot's website, one room per night is listed around $110 post-tax (non-refundable) for the dates we want. We saved about 30% by bidding on priceline. Not a steep discount, but we are still pretty happy about it! Link to comment
