mcheng89 Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 Hello all,This is my first time on this site as well as on PRICELINE. Currently looking for hotel in Fisherman's Wharf, Japan Town, or the Marina for MAX $100-125. Is a 3* in any of these areas doable for that type of budget? I will be traveling with my girlfriend to California from 05/22-05/29 but the stay in San Francisco is only from 05/22-05/24. Any help would be much appreciated.
AaronJB Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Fisherman's Wharf is more expensive and a 3* may be able to be had for around $125-135, while the other two zones would likely be cheaper and possibly able to be had for around $95-115, although I'd start lower. Also, would Union Square East also be acceptable? There's a 4* in USE on HOTWIRE for $123 and a 4* could possibly be had in that zone for lower via PRICELINE. Let us know if any other zone/s (such as USE) would be acceptable) and we would be happy to offer further suggestions.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
mcheng89 Posted April 10, 2013 Author Report Posted April 10, 2013 I think USE and USW is do-able. I know I read some things about the Civic Center area and I am trying to stay away from there. I figured the more north I am from there, the better. Any possibility of getting a 3.5* or higher in those areas for my budget?
thereuare Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3* (or 3.5*)... did you want to start by trying for a 4* hotel in the FW, USE, and USW zones up to your $125 budget? Please confirm and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
