I tried bidding via the Priceline website for these dates in Berlin East as follows (per night):

$55

$60

$65

$70 -> about EUR 55

=> $160 (inkl. tax for 2 nights) -> EUR 123

Best price I found for the 4* Art Otel Berlin Mitte at the time was for 172 EUR on hotels.com. With a valid -10% code it would have been 154,80 EUR. That means a discount of about 30%, although not the best price ever. Since you find it in this forum for $50.

As I'm new to priceline I found sth. strange. I registered first and somehow my credit card details/address wasn't exepted (with German Address). After some research I tried to bid without signing in. Then my details were excepted and each time I closed my browser, I could bid again without 24h block???

After my first 3 bids PL suggested me to raise my offer to $78 without the 24h block.

However, my fist deal at PL. Not the expected super saving but still ok.
