Priceline Hotel: Help! Miami Beach 5/23-5/27

Hello,

I am trying to bid on a hotel for 5/23-5/27 in Miami. I'm hoping to stay somewhere on or within short walking distance from a nice beach area.

I would prefer to stay in South Beach.

I have bid on SB Central, SB Collins, and SB Ocean Drive, 3 star, $115 and lost.

Median retail for a 3 star is $234.

Any tips or advice on star level/price for this area?

I was trying to stick close to $100/night before taxes and fees.

Would it be a big deal to stay in Miami (downtown or otherwise) and take a bus to the beach? We will have a 2 year old with us.

You can use the free monorail Metromover if Staying DT for SB. You can also go by bus, several lines traffic that route.

i have been checking myself for a while now..

Keep in mind thats a long weekend and there are many music festivals in Miami for that week. Hense why the prices are double if not triple the price.

I would try about $150 for 3 star and $175+ for 4 star (south beach)
