stevo59 Posted April 4, 2013 Report Share Posted April 4, 2013 I am looking to bid for Poipu area April 19-21 in hopes of getting the Hyatt Resort. When I've bid in the past, there is a Resort category for bidding. Your hotel list also shows the Hyatt as the only Resort in that area. However, when i went to Priceline today, the highest category choice for Poipu is a 4.5 star. I'm wondering if Priceline has changed its classification. I'm a little worried about bidding because i'm really locked in on the Hyatt. We already have reservations at the Marriott in Lihue as a backup, but were wanting to try for an upgrade in accommodations. Either way, i can't wait to be there. Does anyone have any insight on Priceline's difference in 4.5 stars vs. Resort classification.Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB Posted April 5, 2013 Report Share Posted April 5, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding.Things have changed with PRICELINE's ratings in the last 24 hours with the 4.5* rating and the board has not been updated to reflect changed ratings yet - ratings will be changed on the lists as they are reported to the board. The Grand Hyatt Kauai (1571 Poipu Road location) is 4.5* on the retail side of the service, so my guess is that it is 4.5* on the retail side as well.Let us know if you have additional questions.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
