Priceline Hotel: 3* Indianapolis (Downtown) Marriott Downtown

There is a convention at Indiana Convention Center this weekend. Have made many many many bidding attempts for over 1 week now, all of which were rejected. Constrained to staying in Downtown Indy, which limits my bidding strategy.

Brief outline of more recent bidding strategy:

Saturday attempt:

$64 - Downtown 4* rejected

$70 - Downtown 3* rejected

$75 - Downtown 2.5* rejected

$80 - Downtown 2* (knowing there is no 2* hotel in downtown) rejected

I knew the convention blocked off some hotel rooms for attendees. So I took a gamble and waited to the last minute to rebid. Today's bidding strategy:

$65 - Downtown 4* rejected

$75 - downtown 3* accepted

I know winning bid is higher than norm, but considering my previous options were paying $165 for 4* on Hotwire or $65 for 1* hotel, I'm pretty happy.

Priceline does offer 2* rated hotels in the Downtown area, so i wouldn't recommend using that as a re-bid opportunity... very risky to do so.
