I was looking for a five night stay near Imperial College this July. There's not a lot of data available for July, so I started in the low $80's and wasn't having much luck. I wasn't in a big rush to book, so I waited a few days and then bid:

$95 4* Kensington denied

$99 4* Kensington/Chelsea denied

$105 4* Kensington/Chelsea/Mayfair denied

Then I waited a few more days and tried again:

$100 4* Kensington denied

$105 4* Kensington/Chelsea denied

$110 4* Kensington/Chelsea/Mayfair --- won the Copthorne Tara Kensington.

Retail on PL is $172, so 36% savings! Not bad for a busy time of the year and this hotel is a short walk from the college. As usual I used the PRICELINE links.
