Mrsteele Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 I'm looking to get a 4* (or perhaps a boutique) in USE/USW for $75-90. I've seen these results for other weekends, but I haven't found much info for this particular weekend. Is this too much to expect?
thereuare Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Is this one nite or two? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Mrsteele Posted September 6, 2005 Author Report Posted September 6, 2005 Sorry. I guess I wasn't clear. Two nights: the 23rd and the 24th (Fri and Sat).(and the price I mentioned was per night. I'm not that crazy. :)
thereuare Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Have you bid this already and were rejected, as prices don't seem that high for these dates. If you have when was the last time that you bid?If you let us know if you have a preference of USE or USW (or whichever is cheaper) we'll suggest a strategy to try. Mrsteele Posted September 7, 2005 Author Report Posted September 7, 2005 I originally bid over the weekend and was unsuccessful.I bid just now and got a room. I started at $75, $80, $85, $90, and decided that I could afford $5 more.I got the SF Marriott for $95. It's not what I was hoping for, of course, but I like the location. I'll try to write a review after the trip.<btw, thereuare, I'm a UM Alum>
thereuare Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Glad you got it settled. If this wasn't what you were expecting, what were you expecting? REVIEWS from our users, as well as those HERE certainly seem to indicate that this is a very good property.... and at just about half price it appears to be a great deal.Enjoy your stay. Mrsteele Posted September 7, 2005 Author Report Posted September 7, 2005 It's not that I wasn't expecting this, but that I was hoping for more. From the reviews I've read, there is quite a wide range of quality within the 4* rating on Priceline. So I was hoping to get one of the nicer properties. I'm not unhappy with what I got, and it's pretty much what I expected. But I always have to hope that this time I'm going to snag a great one. :)
