KIMNGUYEN
Was shooting for Downtown Loop or Magnificent Mile for one day of sightseeing before I headed up to Northern Shores. A search for the Loop area shows all hotels are booked except for the Hard Rock. And again, because it's down to the wire, I am starting to panic. Your Offer Price: $60.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $60.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $16.45 Total Charges: $76.45 Bid was not accepted at $49, $50, or $51...added the last free-rebid area and upped it to $60 and was accepted. I most likely overbid. Oh well, you win some, you lose some! Link to comment
thereuare
If you knew you'd eventually go that high, and with only a few days before your trip, why start by only increasing $1 at a time? Better to increase by $2-$3 to get to your maximum bid... better to overbid by $1-$2 than by up to $8.Enjoy your stay. KIMNGUYEN
There was a successful bid for $50 for my same travel date so I started with $49 in hopes to get the floor price. I have been bidding for the Loop area all along but because I am locked out for 72 hours, I had to resort to the Airport to insure that I would get a hotel near or along the El line. I could have bid in an area somewhere in between but I spent 2 days researching for a hotel along the El line and was unsuccessful in locating one. Link to comment
