I have never tried Priceline hotel bidding and I'll be in Sydney October 6th through 9th, 2005. Would love some strategy help in doing this and getting bid. I've read the other ones but there's such a diversity depending on dates, and I don't see anyone bidding on my dates. Marriott website right now is $185 US for senior rate (not sure if we qualify at 55!) Thanks in advance,

Susan :)

Last October (2004) I bid US$100.00 and received this hotel. It was great. Right by the harbour. But, you take your chances. The nice thing about Sydney is that whatever hotel you are in, it is not far from anything. FANTASTIC city! You will love it!

Do you have a maximum bid in mind?

Let us know and we'll suggest a bidding strategy for your to follow.

Can you also please follow-up your NEW YORK CITY post from last year with whatever you ended up doing for that stay.

... also a reminder that you're bidding on a specific hotel, you're bidding for a hotel within a shaded area and at a minium star rating.

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

You can see we won a bid of $134, but that is for peak summer and cruise season. For October (Spring) I would suggest starting around $ 95 and go up from there. Should thought not have to exceed $134. WAVTAM
