joshuatree Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Used Better Bidding PRICELINE link, failed to get any 3* hotels for two days at $70 and $80. Wanted to try one more time tonight (Wednesday), dropped to 2 1/2*, but got 3* Wyndham. It is the exact hotel that I want to stay at at least $40/night saving! We stayed there a couple years ago, walking distance to CMU and free street parking nearby. So excited!
yellowdog Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Congratulations on your success! Thanks for using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding :) Great to see that you got your prefered hotel.Enjoy your stay.Yellowdog.
joshuatree Posted March 28, 2013 Author Report Posted March 28, 2013 Just want to share that the hotel is only honoring one bed for Priceline booking. Front desk just told me via phone that it would be $20 extra for a room with two beds. We were able ask for a two-beds a couple years ago without a charge when it was a Holiday Inn. A little disappointed, but it is still $20/night cheaper than the cheapest booking w/this hotel ($119/night at Federal Government rate w/ID).
AaronJB Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Sorry to hear that the hotel is charging more for two beds. Unfortunately, PRICELINE only guarantees one bed, but some hotels are willing to work with PRICELINE reservations regarding bedding.Hope the stay otherwise went well.
