Bid $55 on 3* Northwest St Augustine, 3 nights - May 10-13th. Rejected. Bid $60 - rejected. Bid $65 - rejected. I believe this is the Courtyard Marriot. Priceline also has a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for a 3* in Northwest SA for $87. On my third bid of $65 - they replied that if I would raise to $80 that it might be accepted. Any suggestions for bidding? The rate for the Courtyard on Priceline's regular booking site is $130. On Courtyard's website, the price is $139.99 on May 10-11, and $112.99 on the 12th. I can get a Senior discount for $119 and $96.

Thanks for your help.

Based upon the information above the 'right' price is between $66-$80... are you willing to bid up to $80 for a 3* property in this zone? If not, what is your maximum bid before lowering your star rating or booking direct or making other arrangements?

I'll add that HOTWIRE has a 3* hotel in this zone for $70 with a very high 4.5/5.0 TA rating and 90% recommended by previous HOTWIRE guests. My guess property would be the Wingate by Wyndham St Augustine, which PRICELINE rates 2.5*, but something to consider as it would appear to be near the high end of the 2.5* level and you would be assured of a 'good' property (as indicated by the previous reviews). If interested the amenities for this offer are: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Free Parking.
