gocubs Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 I have tried 2 get 2 rooms on priceline for a week now. I am interested in NMA or Loop. I hve bid as high as 170 for 4*. I did not want to go lower than 3 * in the loop but did bid on 2 1/2 star $125 NMA. I have used re bidding zones etc. Will there be more inventory soon that I will be able to get for $170 or less? hot wire has 2 hotels avail. They are 3*the cheapest being $233. I have never used easy click but it shows some rooms that are affordable. What should I do? I am beginning to panic.
AaronJB Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 * I see the House of Blues for $179 a night on hotrooms.com. You would have to call them to reserve, as I see no option to select more than 1 room. Comfort Inn/Suites downtown is also available here for $129 (for a basic room), and the Holiday inn City Centre is listed here for $199.* The Westin Michigan Ave is $199 on Travelocity.com* Evanston is another option, as there are a lot of things to do in Evanston - nice restaurants, shops, etc. Evanston has two different train options for going downtown - the Metra train or the "L" train. In Evanston:Hotel Orrington - $160 a nightBest Western University Plaza - $106 a nightHilton Garden Inn - $189 a night on Expedia; I'm guessing it may be cheaper elsewhere. Rooms must be booked separately on Expedia, and this may be true in general for this particular hotel for some reason. All three Evanston properties are within short distance (a few blocks) of stations for both train options.
thereuare Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!I suspect a Saturday check-in may also contribute to your lack of success, although rates also appear high for this date as well.... although in addition to the above the Westin is available for $199/nite direct from their website (which saves the Travelocity"]Travelocity fee). Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
