Priceline Hotel: San Juan hotel for Feb 2014

Over the last couple of weeks I have been bidding for a 3 1/2* and above for San Juan, mainly for the Condado area for two nights and have not had any success. I have been going in and bidding for resort first for say $100 and have been bidding up to $130-$135 with no luck. After I get the "try again" page, I go in and add 4* for the bidding, no luck, then 3 1/2* with no luck. Am I too far out as far as date? Do the hotels release rooms this far out for priceline bidding?

I currently have the Best Western+(3*) for two nights for a total of $344 including fees/taxes as a backup which I can cancel. My dates would be 6-8 Feb, 2014.

You are definitely a ways out from your stay, so while you can try some bids if you are willing to lock something in this far in advance (if you are comfortable with a non-refundable reservation this far out), I would not bid aggressively. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?
