4* Arlington / Falls Church for $100 95% recommended by HW

I'm bummed. The hotel is fine but when I compared the rates I didn't get much of deal. Through HW I got it for $89, however online there is a special that includes parking ($20 value) for $109 so no saving there (and it wasn't a nonrefundable fee). Worse, they have the entertainment rate for $79! I screen captured the page, I guess I will try to get refunded the $10. Pain. I've used HW a lot and this is the first time this has happened.

So as follow-up, I called HW. They explained that the low price guarantee does not apply to such discounts as AAA and entertainment. He was nice and so was I. I politely asked if I could cancel my reservation. He offered me $20 in HW credit to make up for the $10 in difference b/w the HW price and the trip insurance that I bought (which I wouldn't have needed had I used a refundable reservation).

So I'm pretty satisfied with HW. I will be more careful in the future. I normally post my hotel on BB and then double check the rate after you give a prediction. It always works out great. This time, I didn't and almost got snagged.
