XcitedBidder Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Hi,I am trying to get the Venetian for the above mentioned dates, but am willing to shift hotels if necessary. Maximum rate $160 per night. p/s Venetian has a promotional rate on the 9/23Please advise.
XcitedBidder Posted September 4, 2005 Author Report Posted September 4, 2005 Should I wait 1 week before my proposed dates and try my "luck" on PL ?
thereuare Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!I think the only way you will have success for part of your stay above is if you're willing to switch hotels each nite... is that an option? If you go for a 4*, is $160 still your maximum? XcitedBidder Posted September 5, 2005 Author Report Posted September 5, 2005 Hi thereuare,What would you suggest? I was hoping of staying 2 nights at one hotel and another 2 nights at the other if possible. As for $160 my max budget, I think this is flexible to a certain extent...
thereuare Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Given the rate breakdown for your dates i don't think it will be possible to split 2days/2days.If you're looking to 'experience' the Venetian, I would either look into splitting 3days/1day or 1day/3days... or just choose a 4* hotel to stay for the entire length of your stay.If you let us know which you prefer we'll try to help you find the best deal given your choice. XcitedBidder Posted September 5, 2005 Author Report Posted September 5, 2005 I would prefer 1day/3day option... :)Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Just to clarify, does it matter if it's 1day/3day or 3day/1day? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
XcitedBidder Posted September 5, 2005 Author Report Posted September 5, 2005 doesn't really matter.. :)
thereuare Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Would Bally's for the 'balance' nites work well for you or do you want more of a 'mega-resort' experience? If that's what you're looking for, what about the Monte Carlo for $175/nite and then the Venetian for one nite (at less than $175). XcitedBidder Posted September 5, 2005 Author Report Posted September 5, 2005 i am not sure about Bally, but Monte Carlo would do just fine.Which day should I book my stay at the venetian?
thereuare Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 First book the Monte Carlo HERE for 9/22-9/25... this rate is cancellable up until 72 hours before your check-in date so in case you can't get the other nite settled you'll have an 'out'.From there, for the nite of 9/25 i would bid as followson Priceline, where you have five PRICELINE Re-BID ZONES (if you're not familiar with re-bidding please read the prior link and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zoens with the board):Select 5* Strip...Bid $99, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125.If the above is rejected i would book a cancellable rate at the Venetian for $169 (website doesn't say it's cancellable up until 72 hours beforehand but i believe it to be... confirm before reserving). Then after 72 hours try the following:Select 5* Strip...Bid $99, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
