way2fast Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 I need a room for four nights starting june 16th. I only have two people the first 2 nights and four of us the next two. How can I make it so I only pay for two the first two nights
yellowdog Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding!there's several aspects that you need to consider with your request.PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, which means you may receive a room with only one bed and the hotel could assign you a room with only one bed. You could request a room with two beds, but the hotel could be unable, or unwilling, to accommodate your request... or charge an additional fee if they are willing to accommodate you request. An option to PRICELINE is going with HOTWIRE. They guarantee sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search... this often means two beds in the room, but the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway brought into the room, etc.How can I make it so I only pay for two the first two nightsYou need to split your booking in two parts and risk that you can get a diffrent hotel the "second" part of your stay if using PRICELINE. With hot HOTWIRE can you search two diffrent sets of dates and see if they can be matched so you get the same hotel. But this could be tricky since your party increase the last two days. But it's an potion if you really need to split the payment this way.Let us know your thoughts and we'll go from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
