urbanpeach12 Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 Need some bidding help for a stay in NYC from June 4th - June 8thI have no idea what price to start with during this time as I know it will be higher than what I'm currently seeing on the board since it is during the summer. We are willing to stay in the following areas (but prefer the first four):MTECPSTSUWSESBMTWMSGWould like to stick with a 4* to avoid some of the super small rooms, but know that there is still a risk of a small room because it is NYC.
thereuare Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages. We are willing to stay in the following areas (but prefer the first four)...Are you willing to pay more to stay in one of your first four zone choices or does price ultimately prevail and the least expensive 4* in any of these acceptable zones is your goal for this trip?So we don't suggest a strategy that goes higher than you're willing to spend, what is your maximum budget per nite for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. urbanpeach12 Posted March 25, 2013 Author Report Posted March 25, 2013 I'd like to keep it under $150 if at all possible, but am not sure if this is realistic for this time of the year. If I can get one of the first four for under that than I'd like to try for that first, if not I'd be willing to look at the other ones :)
thereuare Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 At current pricing I don't think you're budget is going to be enough for a 4* hotel in any of your preferred zones, but if you want to start with the first 4 zones you can try as follows:When bidding 4* in NYC you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* MTE and CPS...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $123, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $128, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* TS and UWS...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $123, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $128, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE and CPS and TS...Bid $133, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $138, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE and CPS and UWS...Bid $133, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $138, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE and CPS and TS and UWS...Bid $143, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $148, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
