I am planning a trip to Downtown Nashville on April 5th-7th. I would like to be close the bars and music. It is for 4 adults. On priceline I can see the hotels I might get when bidding, but how do I do this on Hotwire? I would like to guarantee that I can get 2 beds. Or if the price is right I could do 1 bed 2 rooms.

Thanks.

It is for 4 adults...

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. If this is not a risk you're willing to take, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)

One new option as well is PRICELINE EXPRESS as some of their hotels show a 'Bed Option' where you may be able to purchase a room with two beds ahead of time. PRICELINE EXPRESS reservations, just like PRICELINE, are still technically only for double occupancy, but i think the chances of an issue are lower if the room type you have has two beds vs. a 'run of house' room assigned at check-in.

On priceline I can see the hotels I might get when bidding, but how do I do this on Hotwire?

Not sure where you're looking, but PRICELINE has an 'opaque' (bidding and PRICELINE EXPRESS) side of their service where the hotel names are not shown and a 'retail' side of their service (where the hotel names are shown). HOWEVER, each side of their service (bidding, express, and retail) each user a different universe of hotels and not every hotel participates with each side of their service. So if you're using the retail hotels to determine what you will get when bidding, it doesn't work that way... the hotel you receive when bidding may or may not be in the retail listed hotels.

I would like to guarantee that I can get 2 beds. Or if the price is right I could do 1 bed 2 rooms.

See my comments above regarding two beds... what would be the 'right' price to make booking two rooms feasible? What star rating are you seeking? What is your maximum budget (per nite before taxes/fees) if two rooms? If one room?
