Priceline Hotel: NYC 4* on 4/12-4/13

I've been trying to get a 4* room for 4/12-4/13 for the past week now and have had no luck whatsoever. I've gone up to $180 in bidding and never got anywhere. I did get The Roosevelt for $159 for earlier in the week (Tuesday, 4/9).

I tried a process one advanced user gave for late April. I figured that my dates were close to this. After going through (and going up to $175), I still couldn't get anything to work. So I am wondering if I am doing it wrong.

I did not include Financial District in my search, but would be open to it. The zones I'd want are: CPS, Chelsea, FD, ESB, HK, MSG, MTE, MTW, and TS. I'd be open to UES but don't want to go too far north.

up to the $175 at the 4* level?

PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 4* hotel in the MTW zone for $177/nite (with Free Internet, Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center)... use the link and code in my signature for 5% bringing your cost down to $168, which is less then you have already bid (assuming you have already included this zone up to $175). Does this work for your needs or do you want to try bidding again? If bidding again, given you know this centrally located 4* hotel is available for $168/nite (after coupon) do you want to include Downtown and UES in your bidding?

I used the PRICELINE link and could not find the 4* in MTW that you mention. The best was a 4* in downtown for $186.

I do not have any active bids open right now. I tried many times but was never able to get anything to hit. So, I am open to a bidding strategy. I would prefer to keep it within the $160-180 range but can go up to $200 if really necessary.

I certainly wouldn't mind The Barclay or a 4* in the MTE area. Sorry, I thought you said PRICELINE and couldn't find it; then re-read and saw HOTWIRE. I think that I will grab the HOTWIRE deal.
