Priceline Hotel: Houston Medical Center, priceline guarantees free wifi at 4*?

Two questions:

1. I'm looking at priceline to find a hotel in Houston for next month. When I click "Reliant Park-Texas Medical Center-Greenway Plaza" area, and then look at the amenities in the 4* range it says "free internet." Does that mean that for that area,a 4* hotel must offer free wifi? I can't understand what else it could mean, really, but that surprises me.

2. Does priceline still offer the ability to add a day at the winning price? I may stay with friends for the first night I'm in town, but if the price is right I'd prefer to have my own space. The link on these boards that says it links to priceline's "add a night" policy just redirects to priceline.

Yes, that is what it means... but keep in mind that free internet may only be accessible in the lobby at some hotels and to get internet in-room requires an additional charge.

Yes, this is still offered but not for all wins. Also, even when it is offered it does not assure that you'll be able to get another nite at the same rate, only that you try to add a nite at the same hotel. When you try the add-a-nite feature HOTWIRE will come back with one of three responses:

1) you've successfully added a nite at the same rate

2) an additional nite can be booked but only at $xx, and you then have the option to accept or reject the additional nite at that price

3) no rooms available to exten the stay
