psibeast Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 Going in December 14-23 2013Resort Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Beachfront Property Food and Beverages Included Premium Brand Beverages Included A la Carte Dining Options Evening Entertainment Included Daily Activities Included Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services All-Inclusive Resort is listed as adult only and is 390$ a night. My guess is that this is Le Blanc resort. No other option I've seen in this area is both adult only and all inclusive. Is there any other possibility for these parameters in this area? We really want Le Blanc and would be disappointed if it isn't. Also, Le Blanc has a promotion where you get resort credits if you order several nights. Is there any chance that we'd get these resort credits even though we ordered via Hotwire? Thanks.
thereuare Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 My best guess for this property would also be the Le Blanc Spa Resort, but it could always be something other than what we think.Since this an extended stay you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. The discounted rates offered thru HOTWIRE are not eligible for any special promotions that are offered directly thru the hotel, so you would need to determine how much resort credit you would receive, and assuming that is 'as good as cash', if the HOTWIRE rate still represents enough of a discount (vs. booking direct less the resort credit) to make a HOTWIRE purchase worthwhile. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. psibeast Posted March 18, 2013 Author Report Posted March 18, 2013 Unfortunately we were wrong. It turned out to be Aqua Live resort. I'm not very happy about this, as it seems to me that Le Blanc is preferable, and it also seems that it falls outside the map of where Hotwire said the north zone is in. Is there any way to get hotwire to refund us due to the map being mislabled? We checked out all the possible resorts that matched the description in the map area and it was either Le Blanc or Royal. Thanks
thereuare Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Sorry this turned out to be something other then expected. If the hotel is indeed outside of the zone then HOTWIRE will cancel the reservation, HOWEVER, it appears to me that this hotel is inside of the boundaries of the zone (if you're seeing a map that shows it outside of the zone boundaries then i would be all means state your case to them)This is the #2 rated hotel in the area by Tripadvisor so it should be nice, although understandably not what you were hoping for.Good luck with pleading your case to HOTWIRE and let us know if you make any progress with them. Thanks for sharing your results with the board... we'll update the Hotwire Hotel List with the new amenity set for this property. psibeast Posted March 19, 2013 Author Report Posted March 19, 2013 yeah, my bad, it turns out the hotel IS inside the zone. :( Don't know how I missed that one.I know it's the #2 rated hotel, but as it turns out my fiancee really had her mind set on the Le-blanc.
