Kali M Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Hi, Can anyone tell me how seats are assigned on winning domestic tickets for most airlines? We are planning to travel RDU to LAX roundtrip 11/14-11/19 and probably will end up putting in a bid rather than buying direct, because the prices keep going up. I am not picky about the airline, or a reasonable layover, but I just don't want the very last seats in the plane. Actually bought a seat from an airline a few years ago and got the very back corner seat. It was HORRIBLE. And I'm only 5'3"! Now I have chronic low back pain and I just can't deal with that on a long flight. Any thoughts? Thanks!Kali
thereuare Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 From Priceline's Help Section of their website:Airlines have varying policies on reserving your seats. Some allow you to select your seats right away, and some wait to assign seats until the day of travel. Others require you to wait until you are within 90 days of your departure. You can always make your seat reservation at the gate or check-in counter. If you prefer to select your seats before arriving at the airport, contact your airline by going to their web site or calling them directly. If you don't see a seat assignment on your itinerary or paper tickets don't worry - your seats are fully confirmed. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Kali M Posted September 3, 2005 Author Report Posted September 3, 2005 Thereuare, Thanks so much for pointing that out to me! Kali
