Hotwire Hotel: London - Kensington or Westminster

I have tried bidding on Priceline for hotels in and around the Westminster, Soho, Kensington, London Bridge, and Chelsea areas without success. My travel dates are July 3 through July 5 of 2013 for a one room hotel (two people). I went up to $100 with Westminster, Soho, Kensington, London Bridge, and Chelsea selected and up to $110 with Westminster, Soho, and London Bridge selected. I noticed that several users posted 4 star hotel wins in June and August -- Kensington, Westminster and Soho.

I also noticed that Hotwire offers a 4 star hotel in Kensington for $100. Do you think the hotel is the Hilton Olympia?

Why do you think my bids are not winners? Is July London's top peak month? Should I wait and bid in April or May? I would prefer a 4 star hotel in Westminster to Kensington, but I am not willing to bid much higher than $110.

Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated -- thanks.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

It's not necessarily a matter of a peak month or period as much as it may be a busier set of date/s - rates can vary significantly from one day to the next.
