timhortonsman Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 I've read through everything I could find on this great website. I've just got some questions that maybe some of you more experienced bidders could answer.(I'm also looking for a hotel in July in the Millenium Park - Loop district, the 19th to 21st to be exact. I'll eventually book one soon, I just want to get a better handle on these strategies first).---------First question - Am I correct in thinking that the 'List View' hotels (no bidding) are not listed in the same bidding areas as the 'Name Your Own Price' hotels (bidding)? For example, the Hyatt Regency Chicago is listed in 'List View' under Chicago Downtown. However, I've seen many recent posts in this sub-forum where people have won this same hotel in Millenium Park - Loop - Grant Park. What's the real reason for this hotel being in a different bidding area? The answer to that question could be this - Priceline FAQ - I'm just making sure I understand.Second question - Is this Priceline Hotel List - the hotels in the areas for the 'List View' hotels or the 'Name Your Own Price' hotels?---------I would really appreciate the help for a beginner!- Chris
AaronJB Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)The retail side of PRICELINE often has different zone/s than the name your own price side of the service. The universe of hotels is also not exactly the same - some hotels may not participate on the bidding side of the service. The Priceline Hotel List Illinois are the hotels that have been reported to the board thru PRICELINE's Name Your Own Price service. What would be your desired star rating/budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
