quotesmart Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Have seen others able to get 4* hotels downtown for under $100. I have been trying for weeks to get one for one night on 9/27 without luck ... I have even bid over $100 a few times. Is it just that night? Any ideas?

quotesmart Posted September 3, 2005 Author Report Posted September 3, 2005 Sorry - I have used your stragegy and bid in the loop and north michigan ave-river north areas for 4*. Also used bid zone 1 and 2 (Midway and Skokie) to get more bids in - like you explain to do. No luck -- I have gone as high as $130.00 and been unsuccessful.
thereuare Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Rates are substantially higher for your dates than for others who have won on the board at the amounts you have already bid.How high are you willing to bid before lowering to a 3* property? Do you have a back-up (if so where and how much?) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
