Priceline Hotel: 4* San Francisco (Financial District-Embarcadero) Le Meridien San Francisco

I have been bidding on hotels in the Nob Hill / USE / USW area (using the betterbidding PRICELINE link) for a few weeks now. My highest was USE / Richmond for $140 for a 3 star and it was rejected. I decided to try 4-star again tonight and got Le Meridien in the Financial District. I realize I didn't quite take the right approach, but I got a good price anyway.

I recommend starting around $80 if you are bidding on a 4 star in the Financial District during mid-April.

This is my bidding history from tonight:

Started with USE 3.5 star @ $120, rejected

Added 3 star, increased to $130, rejected

Added Richmond, increased to $140, rejected

Started over trying for 4 star:

Started with SOMA 4 star @ $80

Added USW, increased to $90

Added USE, increased to $100

Added Financial District, stayed @$100, accepted at Le Meridien

Total cost is $123 including taxes & fees.
