thereuare Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you go back to HOTWIRE and look at the full amenity list again, do you also see a 'Travel Accessible' amenity associated with this property? If so, my best guess for this one would be the Best Western Orlando Gateway. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. NJskeeter Posted March 12, 2013 Author Report Posted March 12, 2013 It does list Accessible path of travel in the amenity list that I somehow left out. Not sure sure if I want this property. A few years ago I managed to get the Hyatt Place across the street from Universal for $35 a night on PRICELINE and I'm hoping to get a property in that complex of hotels on Caravan Court or Major Blvd. Any advice on strategies I should use either on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE would be greatly appreciated. I will keep everyone posted on what I decide and will use the PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links mentioned above. Thanks for your help!
AaronJB Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 Thank you for keeping us updated and for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. HOTWIRE and PRICELINE require being flexible and there is no way to increase the odds of a particular property, although that's particularly the case in an area like this where there are so many properties.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 ... I'm hoping to get a property in that complex of hotels on Caravan Court or Major Blvd.Go to our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com and enter the location you want into the search box (and select the appropriate mile radius you want to search from that point). Then use the filters to sort by price and/or only show the star ratings you're interested in... zoom in on the map to see room rates for the hotels that are in the immediate vicinity of the location you want. This makes it easy to see how much more/less it will cost to stay closer/further from your ideal location and/or to go up/down in star rating. If there is a hotel that is within your budget and desired location then take it... otherwise if you're looking for a deep discount you'll need to be more flexible and be willing to stay anywhere within the boundaries of the zones that you select. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. NJskeeter Posted March 25, 2013 Author Report Posted March 25, 2013 Just wanted to thank everyone for their assistance and close this thread out. I decided to go with a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for a 3* International Drive Hotel which turned out to be a highly rated Hyatt Place for $64 plus 5% off with the promo code SPRING. I love Hyatt Place and stayed in the Universal Studios location a few years ago and this property isn't very far from Universal.
thereuare Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your win with the board. There is a Hyatt Place property in both the I-Drive North and the I-Drive South zone, can you please clarify which property you received (if you're not sure please provide the address and we'll figure it out). Also, if you recall can you please add a reply to this thread with the amenities associated with this property before your purchase. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
