Hotwire Hotel: Help trying to find the Westin Diplomat Hollywood Beach for Aug 7-10/13

I’m really hoping someone can help me!! I’m trying to get the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood Beach for August 7-10, 2013. I’ve noticed that quite a few people have got this hotel through Hotwire and, so far, I’ve only seen the Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach come up for these dates (as I can tell from the amenities, ratings, etc. that it is the Crowne Plaza) and the Westin Diplomat is not even an option. I was just wondering if anyone knew why the Westin Diplomat was not coming up at all for these dates? Is it still too early? Am I doing something wrong? Should I wait a bit longer to see if it comes up? Any help or advice is appreciated!! Thanks!!

HOTWIRE and PRICELINE require flexibility on what hotel you may get. HOTWIRE, with few exceptions, only offers 1 hotel per star rating per zone for each set of date/s. It may not be the hotel you're looking for, and there is really no way to know if the hotel you are looking for will appear on HOTWIRE between now and your date/s of travel. Different hotels MAY appear if you search for 2 adults and 2 children vs only 2 adults, but there's no guarantee.

Is the Westin the only hotel of interest?

Thanks so much for this information! It is helpful and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something that I was doing wrong. We are definitely interested in the Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach and would be happy with that hotel too but we wanted to stay at the Westin Diplomat if we had our choice! I will try to vary my search (ie. 2 adults, 2 children) and see what happens too. But thanks again for your advice! Once I secure a hotel, I will definitely post it in this forum to let others know!
