Hello guys,

This is my first time here. I took sometime reading about how priceline and the re-bid thing works.

I'm going to stay there for 6 nights in May, but we are in 3 people. So first of all, I should ask if bidding is the thing for me (to get a room for 3 people) or if I should try the 4* hotel for 169 dollars a night (Cozy Double Double A Comfortable Room), that Express deal is giving me? Btw, any idea which hotel would that on be? MTE 4* for 169 dollars.

Other than that, If I stick with bidding, I'll try MTE, MSG and CPS (maybe chelsea too). Any bidding tips on this?

Ps.: I'm using the links from the forum :)

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

I wouldn't bid on PRICELINE in NYC if you need triple occupancy... there are too many hotels where a 'standard' room is only one bed, there is no room for a rollaway, and rooms with two beds are considered an upgrade.

For help with the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer what are the amenities that are associated with it?

Thanks for your prompt answer.

Even if I go with <dead link removed>?

It says I can choose room type and says it's a cozy double double... meaning two beds, right?

Thanks again.

Linking to a specific search result on PRICELINE won't work based upon the way they construct their URL with session ids... you'll need to provide the full details of the hotel you're considering.

There is a difference between bidding on PRICELINE (where you name your own price) and using their PRICELINE EXPRESS service (where the price and some description information is provided about the hotel).

Note that i stated i wouldn't bid on PRICELINE... but i would use their PRICELINE EXPRESS service if the 'bed option' is shown. HOWEVER, note that although the room has two beds, technically your reservation is still for only double occupancy... i would think it would be rare, but the hotel could charge for a 3rd person in the room if they're aware of it.

If you'd like help with the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal, or when reporting the win, please include the amenities that are associated with this property.

Thanks again for your answer. I'm sorry, I didn't notice the difference in your text.

The PRICELINE EXPRESS deal that I meant is in New York, MTE, from 5/21 to 5/27 for 176 (yesterday was 169..). With Business Center, Restaurant and Bed Choice as ammenities.

But I understand that the reservation would be for two people instead of 3 and it could raise the price.

On hotwire there's a similar offer, by searching for 3 people, for 181 dollars with more ammenities (Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access). Would that be best?

Thanks again.
