Decided to use HOTWIRE instead of PRICELINE for this one. I'm not 100% sure about the Hotwire area as they have been changed. The hotel is in Checkpoint Charlie - Brandenburg Gate - Parliament area and I'm really happy about this win as I like the area but I don't think that Mercure Berlin City hotel has been reported earlier - a pleasant surprise!

Went up to $50 on Priceline without any luck. There were two suitable choices in Hotwire, the other one was most probably Derag Hotel Henriette but I was quite curious as amenities listed on the other one included pool(s) which is not common. After a quick Tripadvisor search for hotels with a pool and a TripAdvisor rating of 4 I decided to try my luck and this time curiosity didn't kill the cat :)
