sued816 Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Would like a 3+ star hotel in the city-zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 12, 13. Obviously would like to pay as little as possible with $100 as a night as a target top end. Dates are 3/29/2013-4/2/2013. I have booked priceline before with your help and would like a bidding strategy.

I've changed my preferences anyway, based on my daughter's insistence. I would likeFinancial District - Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf,Union square east,Union square west.I'd take Soma, but only 4 star there. March 29-April 2.
Romelle Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Even if there is only 4* bidding available, and you are bidding 3*, you could include the Soma zone after including the other ones that have 3*s. Priceline sometimes does an "upgrade". When bidding 3*, you actually are bidding that level and all higher star levels. Romelle
sued816 Posted March 9, 2013 Author Report Posted March 9, 2013 I got the Hilton Financial District for $90. A great price for a hotel that I have stayed at before. I started at 84 or so for a 4 star and just kept adding acceptable areas. Regular price is $159 or $135 for a non refundable.
