sway Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Amenities shown are:ShuttleFitness CenterPoolRestaurantBusiness Center90% approval ratingAccording to the hotel list it might be the Sheraton Crystal City, Hyatt Crystal City, or Crowne Plaza National Airport.
thereuare Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 My guess for this one would be the Hilton Crystal City at National Airport, or a secondary guess of the Doubletree.HOWEVER, if you are interested in the Hilton post back as i think there is a better way to play it.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. sway Posted March 8, 2013 Author Report Posted March 8, 2013 Thank you fpr the reply . The Hilton would be fine as I am primarily concerned with getting a decent hotel within walking distance to the Metro, and some Crystal City hotels are isolated by roads.
thereuare Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Change your search to 2adults/2children and a 'new' 3.5* hotel is offered in this zone for the same price (may differ by a few dollars) with:Indoor Pool Shuttle Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Wheelchair Accessible ... i believe this is the same hotel, and while my best guess is the Hilton, this may also be the Doubletree (so i'd check the location of that as well)I'll also add that PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 3* hotel in the White House-Downtown zone for $99/nite, using the link and code in my signature for another 5% off and for about $10-$15 more per nite you can stay directly in the city and not have to worry as much about transportation or what time the metro stops running. As well, this PRICELINE EXPRESS property (Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center) has an 8.0/10.0 rating from previous PRICELINE guests and is listed as a 'Guess Favorite' so it's likely, at the very least, a decent property.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. sway Posted March 10, 2013 Author Report Posted March 10, 2013 Started with a low bid of $64 for 4* White House/DT, then up to $71 adding Georgetown/Foggy Bottom 3.5*, then $74 adding DuPont Circle and reducing the rating again to 3* when I won the Courtyard Embassy Row.This was the day before travel and I was really pleased to get something so central, with both a pool and free wifi.
sway Posted March 10, 2013 Author Report Posted March 10, 2013 Being the day before travel with Hotwire hotels increasing, I made some final bids on Priceline and ended up with the Courtyard Embassy Row for $74--I just posted it on the Priceline board. I'm very pleased and much appreciate Better Bidding's help!
