BrahmaBull Posted March 8, 2013 Author Report Posted March 8, 2013 First time getting the Roosevelt for NYC. Always curious to try something new.A little worried about some of the reviews I've read.Rude Staff, old bathrooms, etc..I'll be the judge. :D
thereuare Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 It's an older historic hotel, not my favorite place in the city, but it's centrally located. As with many older hotels the room size can differ greatly from one to the next and this may account for part of the wide disparity of many reviews. When you check-in i would tell the front desk clerk that you understand the room quality can vary a lot from one to the next and ask them to 'do the best they can' since they probably know the property best. You're also near my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) which has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a nice, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers.Enjoy your stay.
