TS1 Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Looking for a 4-5* hotel in the back bay/Copley square, aquarium or theater district for May 4th-7th. Any ideas as to where to start bidding?
AaronJB Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Welcome to Betterbdding. :)What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
TS1 Posted March 8, 2013 Author Report Posted March 8, 2013 Well, I would LIKE. To do 100 or less each night. Ice stayed at the Copley square hotel and paid around that.
thereuare Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Any strategy we use will start lower, but at current rates $100 doesn't seem realistic... i think you're currently looking at least around the $150 level for something in the 'core' Boston area. Do you want to stick with $100 as your maximum bid and re-evaluate at a later point OR do you have any interest in increasing your maximum bid and/or lowering your star rating at this point in time? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. TS1 Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Posted March 13, 2013 HOTWIRE has rates at 111 and a little lower, so I do not think that $100 is unrealistic. I would increase my max bid a little though and if i had to , re-evaluate later.
AaronJB Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 I'm seeing 4*'s on HOTWIRE in the core Boston areas around $200 - where are you seeing a 4* for $111? If you are seeing a 4* for that rate, I'd definitely take it ASAP.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 I too am not seeing anything near $111 for a 4* hotel in the zones you had mentioned above... are you still seeing it and/or sure you had entered the correct dates (May 4-7, correct?)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and please click each of these links before replying.Thanks.
