Priceline Hotel: NYC bidding help 4/11-4/14

Hello. Looking for bidding help, NYC arriving 4/11/13 and departing 4/14/13.

2 rooms, three adults

3.5* or higher in DT/Wall Street. Would love to zero in on Club Quarters there or WTC, and they do appear to have rooms available now. Someone posted here a great deal thru HOTWIRE for two of these nights at CQ, $101 at WTC one night and $112 at Wall Street the other night, but that's no longer available. I just found a "PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal" of $146/night for a 3.5* in DT/Financial, with restaurant, fitness center, business center and "bed choice."

I'm willing also to look at Chelsea or Lower East Side.

Hoping to pay <$125/room per night.

Would appreciate your bidding advice. (I'm familiar with the free bid zone strategy.)

... and are you still seeing this deal offered as i'm not seeing any 3.5* hotel offered in this zone for your dates, and the current rates that i am seeing it appears that $125 for a 3.5* or better would not be a high probability bet.

Hello, yes,it appears that deal is gone and the prices spiked for Club Quarters. Also found that airfares went up. Lesson learned: strike right away or change your plans.... :-(

Note that May is historically an expensive time in NYC... if you're willing to travel during the summer rates are substantially cheaper (but it can get very hot and humid on any given set of dates)
