lberry Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 I'm visiting new york from 9/15-9/19. The city is booked solid, can't find anything for under $300 that isn't a hostel, so I'm looking at Jersey City. I've been reading about the likely choices, and I'm interested in the Candlewood suites but I don't see a 2.5* for those dates on Hotwire. However I do see a 2* with a kitchenette, fitness center, internet, and laundry service. Does anyone know what this probably is?
AspDotNetGuy Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 Wondering the same... looks like a match for the candlewood but the star rating is off??
lberry Posted August 31, 2005 Author Report Posted August 31, 2005 I suppose it could be the Mariott Courtyard.
AspDotNetGuy Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 I don't see them on the Hotwire hotel list but that doesn't mean they arn't. Our good buddy Theure will probably have a good idea.
thereuare Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 I believe the following changes have taken place:Hyatt... upgraded to 4* (confirmed)Candlewood... downgraded to 2*Ramada... downgraded to 1*The above notations have been made in the HOTWIRE HOTEL LIST and we will change them 'officially' once reported. lberry Posted August 31, 2005 Author Report Posted August 31, 2005 Confirmed, it's Candlewood. Don't sweat the 10 spot.... BTW does anyone have any idea why there are zero rooms in NYC 9/15-9/19. It's NEVER been such a pain in the butt to find a room.
