Priceline Hotel: In search of NO 4* in French Quarter or DT 3/9/13-3/11/13

Good Afternoon All...new to the forum.

I am looking for a 4* in the FQ or DT for less than $100. My first priceline bid of $65 in these 2 areas was rejected. Can you all assist with tips or stategies to assist in this effort?

Given rates I'm seeing for these dates - a 4* in either of these zone/s is going to require a higher bid, possibly as high as $120-140. I'd try moving to $80, and then moving higher by $5's using re-bidding. Please let us know if you have any questions before bidding.

I got one night 4* in FQ on May 9th for $65 on PRICELINE. It was a Marriott . They allowed me to extend the nights at the same price but I did not try to do it.
