Welcome to Betterbidding.

4.5* - likely Intercontinental

4* Likely Sheraton

I'll also note that I'm seeing a 3.5* in this zone for $88 (the price you see may differ slightly) w/fitness, business, restaurant, internet, pool - that is a possible match for the Doubletree. While not a 4*, a nice 3.5* and a good value if you're primarily just looking for a place to sleep. It's a couple of blocks North of the Sheraton and a couple of blocks East of the Intercontinental, so similar location to the potential other two hotels.

Congrats on your anniversary! :)

What would be your desired budget per night for this stay? I'd be happy to look around and see if there are any other possibilities of note.

Thanks for the help, it's our 5 yr anniversary, so I'm willing to splurge--but I still don't want to pay more than I have to. Budget is open, looking to keep it to 200-225ish per night. We've stayed at the Intercontinental a couple of times in the past, would rather find a different hotel.

If you click the Westin link on the Support Page and search for your dates, the Westin River North is $149 non-refundable, but it's $169 non-refundable for a Deluxe River View room. I think that's a very nice hotel, but I've stayed in a river view room on a high floor looking West and it was really a classic "Chicago" view - really, really memorable view.

On HOTWIRE, I'm seeing a 4.5* for $158 (the price you see may vary) in the Mag Mile North-WT area w/Free Internet

Boutique Hotel

Smoke Free Rooms

Fitness Center

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

High-Speed Internet Access

This would be a possible match for the newer (opened last Fall) Ivy Hotel.

Two interesting options - additionally with the Westin, given that you are booking through the hotel website, you could also indicate in the special requests section (or call) and say it's an anniversary stay.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE, PRICELINE or Westin link on the Support Page.

Thanks again for all your help. I have to check with my wife...Sometimes she insists on having a pool, which can be limiting. I thought the boutique--possibly Ivy was a good option.

The Omni is a nice hotel, but for the price difference, I'd go with the W. The W properties are not everyone's cup-of-tea, but I think $86 is quite reasonable, especially if you think you would like the W style.
