Priceline Hotel: 4* New York City (Midtown West) The Jewel Hotel

Does anyone know what this hotel might be? I looked at their full listing of 4* hotels in that area, it seems like it might be one of these because they are the "cheapest": Westin, W, Doubletree, Omni (highly doubtful)

Guaranteed Amenities:

Free Internet

Restaurant

Business Center

Fitness Center

$229 per night Standard - 1 Bed Requested

OR would I be better off naming my own price? I ultimately want to be in TS for 4* paying max $200/night.

Thanks much!

These amenities are very common for NYC but my guess would the Doubletree Metropolitan, W New York, or The Alex.

However, with this hotel offered at more then your target budget, why not first try bidding for something within your budget, then consider this later if your bidding fails (and if this is still offered at that time)?

If you'd like try bidding for your hotel which zone(s) are you willing to accept?

3/29-3/30, still looking for a 4* hotel and saw the express deal for $199 which is cheap! Now the amenities listed are Free Internet, Restaurant, Pet friendly and Fitness Center and Business Center.

Does anyone know what Free Internet in priceline terms mean? Does it mean lobby free internet or hotel room free internet? Also, the rating says 8.0 guests love it. Does this rating match the actual hotel in the priceline listing? Meaning, if I were to find a hotel matching 8.0 rating, I could find it?

Thanks!

Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread.

Free Internet simply means that Internet is available at no charge and there is no designation as to whether it is in-room, only in public areas, or both.

As far as the star rating goes, if you click thru on any offer you'll see it states "Rated 'xx' our of 10 (or higher)" so it could be anything rated 8.0 or above... not that the star rating itself will be 8.0 exactly.

3.5* MTW 3/28-3/31 $140 Express Deal +9 (customers love this) - Turns out to be The Jewel Hotel.

Saw this yesterday morning. As I was researching to see what this hotel might be, it was gone just like that. I had a feeling it was this one because it was in the MTW priceline zone as well as the high reviews. This morning, when I saw it I booked it. So yeah, thought I would share this.
