cailinzheng Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 Hello I am new to this forum and would like some help with booking a hotel room for 2 adults to NYC for 5/23 to 5/29, 6 nights. I would like to stay in a 4 star hotel in Midtown East, Midtown (or Midtown West) or Time Square.I submitted bids up to $140 for a 4 star hotel for these 3 areas but they were rejected. I would like to spend less than $160 per night if possible, is that reasonable for that time of the year in NYC?Also, looking at the express deals, there is a hotel in Midtown East, 4 star for $159 a night. Any guess on which one that may be? Guaranteed amenities are business center, restaurant and bed choice available.Thank you for your help!
thereuare Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! My guess for the PRICELINE EXPRESS property would be the Roosevelt. While this is not my favorite hotel in the city, it is well located and that is a pretty good deal for this time of year, imo. Also, the coupon code and link in my signature will give you another 5* off bring your room rate down to $151/nite.Does this property work for your needs and do you want to take this PRICELINE EXPRESS offer or try bidding, but lower your maximum bid to $150/nite since by bidding any higher you could still get the Roosevelt and pay more than the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help. cailinzheng Posted March 5, 2013 Author Report Posted March 5, 2013 Code only works through 5/15/13 :( I will try rebidding again first. Thank you. Also just curious, what do you not like about the Roosevelt hotel?
thereuare Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 The Roosevelt is an older, historic hotel, which 1) is not my style and 2) as with many older properties the room sizes can vary greatly, so you may get one of the better rooms and be comfortable OR you can get one of the smaller rooms which can feel a bit cramped. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
