jorober5 Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 I just booked a 2.5* Orlando I-Drive Seaworld for $53/night from March 9-11. It turned out to be the Ramada Convention Center I-Drive. Reviews on Tripadvisor are not great. We'll give it a try :)

jorober5 Posted March 6, 2013 Author Report Posted March 6, 2013 After I log in to Hotwire and click on trip details, the list I pasted above is what pops up in the "Amenities Pop Up". Should I be looking somewhere different? Sorry to be a newb but trying to contribute....
thereuare Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 It sounds like you're in the right place if it is a new window that opens with the amenities... as opposed to a 'rollover' box that appears on your screen in the same window. I'm assuming at the bottom of the list of the amenities that you posted there is no 'See all' link.Just to explain why i'm questioning the difference... if you search HOTWIRE for 3/9-3/11 and click on the $53/nite offer for the 2.5* hotel in this zone (presumably the same hotel you purchased a few days earlier). After clicking the SHOW ME button with the price in it, on the ensuing page under the amenities shown click the 'See all amenities' link... form there you'll see all SEVEN of the amenities i posted above (vs. the FIVE you listed in your post)It is possible that HOTWIRE showed a limited number of the complete set of amenities when you purchased (as your list of amenities is simply a sub-set of the longer list of amenities that i had posted), but i'm just trying to confirm if that is indeed the case, since HOTWIRE has been making it less intuitive to see the complete list of amenities associated with a purchase. Thanks for your follow-up (and interest in helping :) ) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jorober5 Posted March 12, 2013 Author Report Posted March 12, 2013 It was definitely in the pop up window. A quick review: I can see why this hotel has lukewarm reviews on Tripadvisor. It was "OK". Older furnishings (for example a CRT Trinitron TV that was state of the art about 13 years ago), and was mostly clean. It just felt a little older and in need of some TLC. There was a continental breakfast that was about what I expected. I'm not upset that we stayed there, but feel we basically got what we paid for, not necessarily a "deal"...Finally, there was a $4 a night "resort fee" which seems odd at a place of this caliber. When I asked what I got for the $4, they replied that it was for wireless access and the breakfast. I suppose $4 for the two of those isn't too bad, but it didn't seem to "fit" with type of place it was.
thereuare Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 Glad to hear it at least served its purpose and wasn't a total flop. Thanks for the re-cap. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
