Hi everyone! Newbie here hoping to get some advice from the experts. I'm planning to go to London from Mar 24th-28th for 4 nights and have been amazed with the prices people have won. I'm mostly interested in the Intercontinental Westminster which I saw someone won for $170. However I also saw the Marriott County Hall in the same area can go for $87.

So my question is, if I start my bid at around $150 going in $5 increments to $170, will I be geared towards the Intercontinental or they will give me the Marriott at $150-$170?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for.

If you haven't seen it yet, this is a good read: DON'T BID HIGHER FOR A SPECIFIC HOTEL.

Let us know if/how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.
